Dear Postmaster

Thank you for delivering my mail today. It is always a joy for me to receive mail that cannot be classified as bills, so you can likely guess at my joyous surprise to receive a wedding announcement from two of my friends.

This is to say nothing of the impressive speed in which you delivered this announcement to me. Why, it was only postmarked on July 22.

Which means that I only missed their wedding by two months.

Thank you.

We had lived in our "temporary" house for nearly two months. We received exactly three pieces of mail. They came from a neighbor and were addressed to "Occupant" or "Current Resident" and were accidentally delivered to the wrong house.
Be glad you get mail at all. Too bad they got rid of that pony express system.

Are you kidding me? Two months? I'm vicariously angry for you.

You are not giving me hope about the event invitations that I sent out last week.

Sigh. Thanks. At least I know that it's not just me missing my mail. My parents sent out a box for me a week ago and I still haven't gotten it. It should have been here the next day! Stupid Utah post-people!
