waking

I have decided to retire my alarm clock; Puppy will be taking its place.

This is rather convenient, in many regards. For starters, the ear flapping as she shakes off the sleep at 6:30 does much more to startle me out of slumberland than the beeping of the alarm ever did. And there's no snooze button to hit when she starts whinig at 6:45; even if I tell her to go back to bed, she continues to whine from the corner.

Of course, the one drawback is that she does not recognize weekends or days when I don't have to be in to work until later. Must work on teaching her the days of the week.
