NBA finalists

The National Book Award finalists were announced today. On the plus side, I now have a list of other books to read while I wait for the stupid Devil's Den to get off their duff and get Mothstorm in, which I ordered ages ago. I ought to have been able to purchase it yesterday. Stupid Devil's Den. On the minus side, it means I might actually have to read another Lockhart book, even though I really don't like her writing.

Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and young people's literature categories were announced. I'm only including the youth list here.

Young People's Literature:
Laurie Halse Anderson, Chains (Simon & Schuster)
Kathi Appelt, The Underneath (Atheneum)
Judy Blundell, What I Saw and How I Lied (Scholastic)
E. Lockhart, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks (Hyperion)
Tim Tharp, The Spectacular Now (Knopf)
