Monday

observant

Apparently I have developed a knack for observing lesser-known holidays that occur at the end of the third week of the month. For example, in September, I unwittingly planted trees in honor of the autumnal equinox.

So Friday, I unwittingly celebrated Adopt a Dog Day. I discovered this (the holiday) on Friday when Absent and I both took the day off work after throwing rather stressful but in the end successful open houses for our respective employers.

The story of the dog adoption will be posted shortly, but I'm unsure when. Because there's a lot that led up to it. And then I have to post about training the dog. Oh, and I need to post about how I learned not to insert your hand in the mouth of a dog engaged in a fight with another dog.

And I may be sporadic in posting for the time being, seeing as how I finally have my computer on wireless, but it is agonizingly slow in its connection. (Not to mention the fact that it really hates Blogger and won't load the stupid posting page.)

You? Sporadic in posting? Perish the thought.

I've been doing this too. Unwittingly picked all the apples on Johnny Appleseed Day, for instace.

What happens is, I live my life, then visit Absent and discover I've been celebratory.

It's certainly not happening on purpose.

I'm much too boring.

ps: when's the alphabet coming back?

I wish I had a dog. It would make writing this story much easier.

I despise dogs and everything they represent (which is mostly dogs).

But Master Fob, you would love Belle. She is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. You would just want to schrunch up her face and kiss her all over.
