Though there are many things I like about my new job, there are some significant drawbacks.

Okay, so there's one significant drawback. But it's REALLY significant.

I have to go through most of my day WITHOUT internet access.

It's driving me bonkers. I'm not used to being separated from my e-mail and my blog reader. I could cut down on the number of subscriptions in my blog reader, but 135 is such a nice number.

To make things worse, my new boss is under this delusional impression that I'm going to work more than forty hours a week. Pshaw.

But I'm adjusting. It's nice knowing that I don't think I can ever truly be late for work except on those rare days I have to cover the front desk. Woo hoo!

You need to hook the gym up with wireless access and get a palm pilot. A worthy work expense, I think.

In other news, I started your summer reading list: About a Boy. Will discuss tomorrow.

I think that Master Fob has a great idea. Check with your boss tell her that as her favorite employee she need to make sure that you are happy. If that doesn't work, then present it as a marketing ploy- be the first gym to have wireless internet access so people can be connected to work while they sweat. If that doesn't work, round up all the other employees and stage an internet revolt.

But one good thing about limited Edgy-internet, I can become a weekly almanac.

So, may I ask, what the new job is?

I know tomorrow's your birthday and all, but when are we going to get "H"?

Christian said...

Believe it or not, I was actually going to do H today. But things came up. And I made cookies. They were yummy. There are still some left over if you want to come over on the Day o' Edgy.

Happy (late?) birthday!

When you get around to reading The City of Ember, you'll have to tell me if it's any good. I'm down to only four books on my nightstand and I see trouble for the summer in that number.

I didn't see the cookies. :(

And Harry Potter is sad about it. Word Verifications says so: hpvyhpsd

What's the point of having a Month o' Edgy, if Edgy never posts?

Lovely, lovely, lovely.

Yeah, being without Internet bites.

Th. is right! Edgy should post every day of the Month o' Edgy!

Christian said...

Actually, that's not the way it works. There should be a post everyday about Edgy during the Month o' Edgy, but they shouldn't be written by Edgy. I leave it you to cooridnate amongst yourselves as to how you're going to ensure Month o' Edgy guidelines are adhered to.

Er... Happy late Day o' Edgy!

Being in the summer heat when it's only the second week of May causes strange things to happen in my head, such as missing imporant dates (including Day o' Edgy, but not limited to my friend's reception which was just remembered minutes before it ended).

And so, I bow to you and your Edgy-ness. And to the fact that Day o' Edgy is in May, which happens to be the best month on the planet.
