So remember how I told you all to mark your calendars? That's right. This coming Friday is our Second Annual Twelfth Night Party.

I had wanted to send out invitations and reminders and all that earlier, but it's been one of those months. So this is your invitation and reminder all wrapped up into one.

Now, the event has been altered slightly in the last day or two, what with the sudden change in plans that now mean we have the kids this weekend. Well, the only change is that the party will be slightly more kid and family friendly. What does this mean for you? At its simplest, it means that we'll put a movie on in the bedroom for the kids.

But it also means we won't watch The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), which truly makes me sad, because I've been looking forward to that for a year. *sigh* But that wasn't going to start until later, and what with wanting to put the kids to bed and all . . . We'll have a movie night dedicated to Will (Abridged) at a later date.

So here's the skinny.

Friday, January 5 is Twelfth Night.

We're having a party.

You're invited.

It'll begin about 7ish and go until about 10ish.

We're going to have a fire pit in the driveway.

There will be hot dogs and marshmallows.

(Where there are marshmallows and fire, there are also graham crackers and chocolate.)

There will also be wassail and cocoa and tea.

There will be diversions for the younger folk.

We'd love to see you there.

RSVPs are appreciated but not necessary.

Count me in!

Attire? I assume with a fire pit, that it'll be casual?

I guess I should give you a formal RSVP, even though I think you are already aware that I plan to attend, baring some natural or unnatural disaster, and even if we don't watch The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
